I know it’s a needle in a haystack but has anyone had any luck finding headers that fit with this combo in a first gen? I’ve tried 3 different sets and they would either be too close to the drive shaft or not be able to squeeze in between the frame rails at all.

And even if that wasn't a problem, with the 205 clocked just 1" it doesn't look like I could get anything by to dump the exhaust behind the seats anyway.:1zhelp:

I have always planned on using a set of 3/4 length flowtechs for a early camaro. They are short, but not shorties & you can have your muffler shop figure out how to route around all of your pieces.

I'd also recommend deciding what muffler's you want & fitting them up where you want them to be in behind your t-case to make sure that you're set-up is feasible.

Good luck & take lots of pictures!!

Later,
Buddy

Don't know if it would work for your set up but my drivers side goes forward and wraps under the motor, then runs parallel with the pass. side past the t-cases.

...but then again, I'm running a set of Corvette 2.5" rams horns that dump out in the center.
They must have made those for big blocks...?

What's going on Larry...long time...when are the skins going back on the Jimmy :D

I'm not sure what headers mine are off of, but were the only ones to fit out of three sets I had...mainly because of the boxed frame. But long tubes hung down way toooo low, another set of shorties did not fit on the passenger side...and then found some off a '76 FJ40 we have with a SBC...I'm planning on routing the exhaust under the pan from the passenger side to the driver side and then singling a single tube all the way back...
