57 Pontiac "Zero Fox"

When I got hagerty for my chevelle they knew it was a build in progress, I think they just need pictures to document what’s there now, they told me to call and update as the build progressed.

So Hagerty's online form includes all sorts of "options" like does it have N20, tubbed? Caged? etc. They sure want to give the impression they "get it". Right up until you mention drag strip...then they say we don't have the product for you, you'll have to try another insurance company. i'm having another company give me a quote, and this time I'm not mentioning anything more exciting than Cars and Coffee.

@tRustyK5 Hope I didn't jinx you on the insurance. :doah:
Mines basically through Hagerty but I'm dealing with Statefarm.
Open headers, slick, complete chassis, NOS bottles in plain view... none of that has raised a flag yet but they didn't like my interior shot?

The lady keeps asking why she can see the engine from inside...
She wasn't nearly as impressed with the wiring as I was. Might not put the dash back in.

The only insurance you can get for a race track, is in the form of sponsorship, from a deep pocket. It usually is your own pocket.

There's a couple companies that will insure you even at the track but they get deep in your pocket.

After 8 weeks I finally got most of the Quick Performance 9". The housing shows up tomorrow...but everything else showed today.

And I am vacillating about buying a $200 steering column.

I think I'm just numb to it now...every time I start to "vacillate" I remind myself I don't want to be the guy that 'almost' made it to Drag Week. All the big spendy parts are here and mostly paid for now, so I feel like I'm over the hump.

You know 10 years from now you won't be upset about spending $200 but if not spending it means you miss out on something like power tour you will be.
A month from now he'll have forgotten that $200, but will continue appreciating the right part doing the job it was meant to do.

I will post a picture in the Fugly thread tonight, of the new seat with the existing steering wheel height. I am almost looking through it.
