What is the condition of the camshafts?

Haven't pulled those out yet, but I do have a cam from another engine I pulled appart a while ago.
Let me look at it tomorrow if it doesn't have any surface rust it was in great condition.
The engines in the post are still complete and I will be taking them apprt this week. :D

Well these are pics of the cam I already have out, it's from an AM hummer.
Surprisingly it's still clean save for a little dust that got on it when I moved some boxes to get to it.
Oil has protected it well.
The others it will be a few more days before I get to them.

I just wonder if the specs are any different from the cam my motor originally had...

PM me on shipping to 85204 and how much you want for the cam, and I will PP it to ya.

I will get you a quote for shipping, and in the meantime do you wanna wait for the GM cam should be about a week.
I actually wouldn't mind keeping the AM cam for my AM 599 block I will be building someday :o
But now I need the money more than all those parts.

I was thinking that the cams may be different for different spec motors, i.e. J code vs C code, etc. I will call Peninsular tomorrow and ask, since I need to find out about my crank anyway.

do either of the blocks have cracks?

the 83 has a cracked starter bolt hole so I am not selling that block.
The 88, not that I know off, unortunately the only sure way is magnafluxing.
If I do that then i have to charge much more.
I will do a thourough visual for the price I am asking.

One CAM sold.
Working on taking the parts off the 88 engine so I can get shipping quotes and pics. :D
