6 inch lift. After the install, the front sway bar links are too far apart, so small brackets (they look like an "8") bolt onto either end of the sway bar so that it's long enough to reach the sway bar links. Is there any reason these can't be fabricated? You know, grab a piece of metal, drill a couple holes in it.

Part number FT20602

looking at the directions on line that kit has more half a$$ed work around parts then needed . i have done ifs lifts for years and NEVER seen so much weird stuff done for a lift kit . at your point now your stuck with calling them for the parts you need as of the superlift / skyjacker / bds / zone lift kits i have done for years in the past i have never seen one part like that used .

this is BDs budget brand and i did a lot of these . and its a LOT less than the fabtech kit you got . https://zoneoffroad.com/products/6-...lanche-suburban-tahoe-or-yukon-1500-07-14-4wd

Dude call fab tech. If a part is missing from the kit they can send it to you. Many kit companies including those guys can get parts from a kit. However in some instances it’s easier for them to send you the entire box the part came in vs the individual part you want. It just depends but start out by calling them directly. See what they can do.

I appreciate the info guys.

Ya, my plan was to roll without the swaybar at first. But I would like to get it connected at some point.

As for the complicated design, I assume that more parts and a more complicated install is better, but who knows. Maybe not.

As for calling the factory to get free replacement parts I can't do that.

This kit would be like ... what... $4,500? $5,000? after tax and shipping?

I got the lift kit and the entire suspension system, brakes, CV axles, front diff, rims, 35" tires, EVERYTHING from the frame down for $300 cash. Not $3,000 - it was $300.

It may be overly complex and overy complicated, but I figure I came out ahead.

Purchased from a junk yard with a receipt - not a chop shop.

But anyway, could these parts be fabricated? Any reason not to make them myself?

call them . might be faster to buy from them over fab price and still not be correct .

really?? how do you know, have you called them? there have been several times I bought stuff used and called the manufacture needing parts and offered to buy them and sometimes they sent them free, sometimes I paid for them. I bought a truck one time with a high end flashlight in it that had a cracked reflector. emailed them, explaining I bought the truck and found the flashlight in it and they sent the reflector free of charge.

Ya, you might be right. Its probably better to just get the proper parts. If a fab'd part broke on a hard corner due to improper specs or incorrect material, then rig could roll over. I will give them a call.

I have called them with questions about the lift kit in the past, mainly to check part nunbers to make sure I have everything needed. They seems eager to sell parts and hesitant to offer any free advice. Doubt they would send free parts, but I guess I could inquire.

I agree. I have been surprised by customer service before. I have gotten free parts to fix second hand items in the past. Free parts, free shipping, etc. But not always.
