I'm looking to upgrade susp on my "69"K10 SWB to accommodate a set of 38x12.5 tsl sx's mounted on factory 15x8 rally wheels. The truck currently has a 4" spring lift. dont want to body lift at all!! For years I've eyeballed the 52" front spring swap in the tech section and also the rear shackle flip. I have a set of 52" 4" lift springs. has anyone out there done this on this year model? & if so what were the results, any obstacles? & how was the streetability affected? The trucks been in the fam since new & in nice shape & I'm not interested in experimenting. Any usefull info will be much appreciated. :dunno:

Your axles wont like the 38s, thats for sure. But for a mall queen/street cruiser they should survive. Ive never done a 52 swap on a first gen but im sure others will chime in.

4" lift 52" rear springs will put you in the range of 8" lift. Is this the amount you had in mind?

I think so. I've talked to a few susp companys & got diffrent answers from all about weather 8" will accommodate the 38s without causing body damage in a mild bind off road
