I was running my K5 in D rather than OD yesterday and I've noticed it shifts different between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. In D, the transmission seems to shift a bit firmer. It also down shifts differently, almost as if its using more engine braking. Anyone else experience this with their 700R4?

Thanks,

Wes

I'v noticed that too. In OD I can't feel it downshift, but in D I can really feel it downshifts from 2-1.

I've done that before too and had the same problems. After driving it in OD again for a while my problems went away though.

Mine's always done. 160,000 miles before the rebuild and the 3 or 4 thousand I've done since the rebuild. I guess it's just routing the fluid through different passages causes it to act faster/firmer.
