700r4 to a 205 question

Okay, asumming you have the AA output shaft installed in the 700, a 205 that was mated to a th350 (27 spline) should bolt up directly to the stock 700 right? Some driveling shop told me I would also need some adapter plate, I thought you only needed the adapter plate if going to a 400/205 combo....

You need the adapter that came between the 205 and TH350. There is also a sleeve that is inside the adapter, you need this too. An adapter from a manual tranny/t-case combo won't work b/c it's too long. That's all you need besides the shaft. I just did this swap about a month ago so let me know if you have any more questions.
