Hey fellas, I crawled under my blazer(85 with np208) and found the adapter to trans bolts loose/stripped missing! The two pass bolts tightened up but the top drivers is stripped. I'll disassemble to repair soon but would like it mobile for the weather that's coming. I forgot to bring the bolt to match it up.

Does anyone know the specs? It has a 15mm head so I vould buy fine and coarse in various lengths but would prefer to get the correct ones. Thanks

I believe they're 10mm on those 700's, probably 1.5 pitch. Don't be surprised if the threads are fubbard in the trans, fairly common if the adapter came loose.

Yeah one is. I will feel ok short term if the missing one will snug up. I mean I as driving it around with only the crossmember for who knows how long...

Yes, you probably could, might have to clearance the nuts a little depending on the casting but it could be done in a pinch.

I saw a TH350 on a 4x4 at a junkyard that had those two top holes stripped out--whoever fixed it just used two of those square nuts like Unistrut uses with 3/8" bolts behind the bolt hole on the transmission output area of the case--looked like they had to grind down one side on the nut, to allow it to line up with the bolt hole..looked like it had been run a long time that way too...probably stronger than the aluminum threads were originally..
