Way WAY back in 1981, a friend had a '77 Sub 1/2 ton, 305 HO(Z28) TH350 203. We installed a little lug of cast iron he bought from JC Whitney. I went from the unused car tranny support boss to the adapter, or something. I just sent him this picture. (It's my '84 K5 6.2 700R4 208). What did we use? It takes some of the load off the 4 bolts that connect the tranny to the adapter

Is this a trick question? You used "a little lug of cast iron" that was bought from JC Whitney. :D

No, No, NO... Not a trick. It's a little 90degree thingy that bolted to the "car" tranny mount and to the adapter (?) on the TH350/203. My friend on whose Sub we installed the little "lump a IRON" might know who owns his old Sub. He just sold it a few years ago, and he likes to keep track of his old luvs...
I remember reaming out a couple of the holes to be able to bolt it up.
I was driving a 1980 Citation V6 coupe that I bought for $100. It was rotted, no floor at all, but it was FAST! It's still in the country, trees growing thru it, I'm sure.
