700R4 to NP205 adapter question...

While searching I found This, which led me to This.


Will this adapter work with a 700R4 from a 2 wheel drive truck? If it will, is it as simple as unbolting the tailshaft housing and installing the spacer? I curently have a Th350/NP205, but would like to switch to the 700R4 for the OD.
