700r4 To Sm465

I am going to buy a 465/205 setup from ROOTBREAKER.My 85 K5 has a 305/465/208.What crossmember do I need?He has the crossmember that came in the truck with the setup.Will that work?The hydraulic clutch setup seems to be the hot ticket,what years and what trucks have what I want?

Title says 700R-4 to 465 swap, but you say your truck has a 465/208 right now?

If you already have a 465/208 then you also already have a hydraulic clutch. First year for that was '85.

I swapped a 465/208 out for a 465/205. I am pretty sure I used the same crossmember, but drilled four new holes to mount it.

Sorry about that.I actually have a 700r4/208 now and want to put a 465/205.

What year is the donor?

Difference will be earlier tall adapter vs. later short adapter. Crossmembers are not interchangeable between those years since the adapters are entirely different. You could use spacers and what not of course, but why?

I believe he said donor was a 79 truck and mine is a 85 K5.
