If my 700R4 has a 3-4 pack in how do i know and what does that mean.
What exactly are you reffering to ? Yes. I does have a 3-4 clutch pak
1990 K5 4" lift, 33's, 3.73's Raptor Tranny and Velvet Rides....
A 3/4 clutch pack refers to the clutch pack that holds the power during the 3rd to 4th gear changes. They fail frequently in stock 700R4's.You'll see H/D 3/4 clutch packs advertised. They increase the number of clutches in the 3/4 clutch pack, this is suposed to reduce the failure rate as there are more clutches to take the abuse.Only way to know if you have a H/D 3/4 clutch pack is to take the tranny apart and count the clutches,The H/D units should have 7-9 clutches.I think stock 3/4 clutch packs only have 4-5 clutches.

I may not be able to tell you if you have it, but if it runs in and out of OD like mine does, then you DEFINATELY know you don't!
