Hey guys, lovin my blazer but the hood is sprung in the front. It sticks up in the back and has what i guess are common kinks in the sides? I see lmc sells braces that fix the kink but whats up with the back? I can push it down to look right but how can i get it to stay there?

They are finicky, but can be adjusted. However, if the hood is buckled, the hinges likely haven't seen a dose of oil in a while and are wore out. When you open the hood all of the way, do the hinges have a lot of slop in the top of the travel?

I fixed mine one day by accident. I was working on the engine and when I closed the hood I didnt close it all the way. Then a few hours later I went to the store and my hood flew up while doing about 40 MPH. Holy ****! I puilled over and closed it then I noticed that it sat perfectly closed at the rear of the hood. It had the comon problem of sticking up. Not any more lol.

haha thats awesome!!, i wonder if i push mine farther open than it normal goes a little if it would fix it

Take the hinges off, have them bead blasted, wash them good, paint them, lubricate and live happily ever after. I have done this to many hood hinges for people and it always fixed the problem. Of course you also have to make sure the hinges aren't all wore out from never being lubed in the past.
