For anyone that has a 73-84, and can take a couple minutes to verify a dimension/distance for me, I would appreciate it!
I've replaced the motor and transmission mounts on my '79 K5 and the distance between the outer [clutch] cross shaft bracket and the engine block still looks greater than I think it should. It is only allowing .375-.500 inch of travel before the ball comes out of the tube.
On my '79, I'm measuring 10.25 inches from the inside of the bracket on the frame and the machined surface on the 350 block where the ball stud threads in. My '77 measures 9.75
