it's about time to order the lift kit. I looked at the part of the site where everybody posts pics of theirs with the amount of lift listed but there wasn't much in the way of two inch lifts on k5's when I checked last time. I want a stance where the rear is slightly higher than the front and don't want to go any higher than 2 inches especially in the front to avoid having to mess with driveshaft/steering etc. if anybody has any ideas, i'd love to hear em before I just wing it. I'm in uncharted territory from here on out

Interesting, most have the front at a slight rake.
Mine is that way and the majority if not all of the ones I’ve seen.

Refresh us, are you going with 33's?

To my eye, the rear needs lifted about an inch more than the front because of the fender openings being at different heights. The rear springs seem to sag worse then the fronts as well, so they often look like butt draggers.

You could actually use stock springs with a zero-rate up front and a 2" block in the back, or a 2.5" shackle flip. Then a 1" body lift. But I don't know what your plan is for bumpers. Just a thought.
@500$k5 did this with 33's, rear blocks. I don't find a picture of his on flat ground, so..

I like that idea best so far

So, that means my truck has a saggy a$$? The leafs are dated but... it’s old, cant expect things to be where they once were... wait, we’re talking trucks, right? All of a sudden the wife popped in my head and her response.

It looks "right" if you see it in person[/QUOTE]
roger that, family is all here looking at 500$k5's on level ground and they all think that is a perfect look. I think we are going with his set up. again, thanks for everybody's help. rebuilding a trim/tilt unit on my Yamaha outboard this week and working on jap stuff really makes me appreciate the k5. I broke 3 out of 4 bolts removing the tilt motor. I think that's more bolts than I broke turning every one on the blazer(not counting body mounts- I broke all of those). hopefully have some progress for yall soon

I really like that. pretty level but maybe looks better that way

I found a new set of 5 pack stock rear leafs for $109 each.
Along with a ORD shackle flip with 2” Springs in the front.
Looks great, slightly higher in the back...people don’t seem to realize how much 50 year old Springs sag.

thanks, I was wondering about that and have noticed a lot of the kits come with new front springs but not the rear. I think im going to replace the rear springs and I'll check out the ORD site

My extra 1" lift in the rear has been used up with a 33x12.50 spare, craftsmen tool box, tote full of all fluids, extra driveshaft, extra hubs, extra starter, a CO2 tank, a small floor jack, and a receiver hitchmount 12,000 lb winch.. Might have to go for another 1 inch of lift in the rear, if I keep hauling around the equivalent of a small Jeep, in the back. LOL
