I understand these were an option in 75. I do not have any and I have tried to find so but no luck. Has anyone bought any aftermarkets that bolted to the factory holes in the top and the floor. I am trying to keep this looking as stock as possible and with the shoulder harness. I have the lap belts but it seems the young local police do not understand this is okay. It keeps me getting pulled over and over and over. One beer could be a problem.
Thanks, Steve.

Just find some out of a newer rig, they will bolt right up in your stock locations.

Craig the only ones I have seen for the '75 have the factory roll bar, and the shoulder strap bolted to them. I will see if I can find those picks. Sorry you are having trouble. I have been looking into this as well, some of the local yocals around here are a little slow at times. :doah:

My '73 and also my '75 fiberglass top has plugged holes in the fiberglass top right where a shoulder harness would bolt to should someone want to install one. I wouldn't want to install them though because I run full-vert all summer long.

scp I'm assuming you have no interest in removing your fiberglass top?

Honestly I have not had the hard tops on them for very long. I have never looked a tthem that hard either. I will have to look. FOr right now I will be running the full top on the '75. I am really not looking forward to drilling holes in a nearly prefect body just to have a soft top.

I'm not willing to go soft-top either. Here's what I did:

20 minutes off, 20 minutes on. I just watch the weather and carry a tarp and bungee cords. :)

I looked at that when you first posted it. my problem if I do not have the height in my garage! The '75 with 4 in of lift and 33's barley fits now with out the top. I will have to figure something else out. But we are getting to the cooler months so I will just pop the top on it for now. Give me a couple of months to figure something out.

Hey, thanks for all of the ideas/thoughts/suggestions. The transfer case is giving me a little bit of a problem, so I am down right now and that is why I am trying to solve the seat belt problem now. I have replaced the stock roll bar and I think I am going to have to try to design something for that so the harness belt will be permanent for on/off hard top.

The idea of the lift is a great idea. I bought an electric winch (small) that slips over the trailer ball for lifting the top, then it can be tied off.

Thanks again. Steve.

This is a bigger problem over a seat belt issue in my opinion.

I'm looking for a stock roll bar. I have no roll bar. Do mean you installed a new roll bar and discarded the stock one or did you not have one to begin with?

The stock one is very simple. If you have access to either a bender or a pretty good fab shop. You could probably build one pretty easy. I have been thinking about building one out of some thicker tubing to replace the stock flimsy one. If I do I will let you know. But honestly fabbing one up should be a breeze! They are really justa simple hoop with two supports at the bottem. IF you want some detailed picks, I can get them for you.

I removed the stock bar and replaced it with a larger bar. The stock bar has been given to another Blazer owner who did not have anything. I am assuming you are looking for one. I may know where there is one in southern Kentucky. Interested? Let me know and I will call and see if he still has it. Steve.
