:haha::haha::haha:,yeah what is this Canadian t/g anyway....must be thankful they don't have the Puppet for a pres huh?

I like the simulators Dave... I think it adds nice touch.

shhh...(me too B)...

I started reading this thread thinking man 6 pages to catch up on there must be all kinds of cool stuff done.... nope just a bunch of wheel bickering!
We have simulators on our E450 service truck and I have to admit they're not bad. They are REALLY easy to clean up and keep clean and you can't even see the steel wheel behind them.
I don't think you can go wrong.

I know what ya mean Avery...that white paint will catch hell out there I think....not that I would let them stay that way for long, but just sayin' the sims are easy to clean up.

Oh so your making decisions for me now Adam?:sign27:

:D:D:D :waytogo:

Dam good lookingrig Dave, those old round eye trucks bring back a lot of memories for me...:waytogo:

Dad had a 77, 78, 79, 81, 86 (k5), 87, and lastly a 89. I learned to drive on the 77. Custom Deluxe, 3 on the tree, armstrong steering, and 2wd air conditioning! (2 windows down):haha:

thanks 62fg....you know I gotta get down to see my brother in NC...not sure when but I gotta look you up when I make that trip!
And I know what ya mean about the round eyes....I've had 76,77,78,80,85 trucks/blazer, and just really like the round headlights better...again JMO!

Im not a fan of the simulators, but all the ones I had to deal with at the ford dealer were the crappy ones, and for some reason I remember cutting the **** outta may hands on them for some reason.

I think the white wheels look better with the red and white two tone myself, but if you cange to a red and silver the sims might look better.

Either way it will look good.

Jeez dave, what do you think this is your truck or something? You have to build it like everyone else wants. :thumb:

I think they both look good, do whatever you want and ignore the posse. It's just cosmetic.

OK, now I have approval :thumb:

nice truck man! i just wish the 4X4 version of that weren't so damn hard to find.
You mean the 4x4 version of the 76 and older?
You con't want hose, they came with a D44 front with an adapter to make them dually.

As far a I know you could not get a 4x4 Dually in ANY body style before 77
The K30/35 designation was brand new for 77 model year

Prior to that 4x4's were available in the 10 and 20 series ( 15 and 25 for the GMC folk)

I would say any Dana 44 with Dually hubs is aftermarket, but if it factory ( or dealer installed) I'd love to see some more info on it.

And to add my voice in before we really change the subject, I like the white wheels better, but it's good that way, when I put my white wheels on my crew cab dually it will look different, not like veryone elses.
And Eric, don't worry, I know what your plans were a couple of years ago, Zimm only got his now, he's just getting it done faster and it might look later like you copy him, but WE know better.:D
You still might get yours done before I do mine though.:doah:
I am still not sure which one to build though.
The Red one doesn't need much, but I think I am better off selling it and working on one of the other 2 I have since I want to do do more mods to the body, it would be a shame to do that to a rust free clean truck like that red one.:dunno:
And Zimm, if you are still looking for 16" steel rims, I have a few sets here, if we have a way to get them to ya, I will make you a good deal.
