Ive got an 85 k20 cab on what "I was told" was a 78 truck when I bought it. Recently, I picked up an all new front clip off of a 76 blazer to swap on. I was wondering if all of this stuff will bolt right on (fenders, radiator support hood, etc.) without major mods. I had someone tell me that the 70's fenders are 2 inches shorter then the 80's ones, so you have to move the radiator support back 2, which is right above the front spring mounts so it won't work... Is this true??

I have a 87 front end and a 85 tub on my 78 blazer and I just had to wallo out one hole on the core support mount.....

Methinks it's like this, but backwards:

I keep meaning to retro a newer truck to the 73-77ish style, which I prefer ... but I've not gotten around to it.

Everything should bolt up; major differences are the hood/windshield cowl area and the wipers.

That 2" thing would be new by me.
