Since the water pump died I'm gonna switch to cleaning an prepping the engine bay til it comes in.

Wow! Your doing a lot more than I could ever do, nice work bro! I love the roll cage, everything else looks like its coming along fine.

How much did you have to give for it in the fist place??

Andrew

Thanks man. I was hoping it'd have been further along by now but that's how it goes.

I paid $500. He had just put in new tires an said he wanted something formthe tires to make him feel better.

I hear ya.

I gave 1200 for mine, and Im still finding rust holes. The only carpet left is under the driver's seat. The tub will just be painted flat black and you can kiss my a$$ until I have the money to have it fixed RIGHT.

Time being, all holes will be jerry-rig patched to get it on the road as a daily driver... it should hold for at least a year or two, long enough to save up to get it fixed right (or fix it right myself)

Andrew

I ddnt even patch the holes. I kno going in it's gonna be a wheeler.
But I just got the spray paint type bed liner and it works so I won't screw with it too bad.

great progress so far man. I got a 76 k5 w/a 400CI still running :) which is my DD/WHEELER and a 73 k5 which is my original restoration project (never ending :/). We oughta have a wrenching party sometime since we're so close. maybe get you running solid in time for blazerfest incase you change your mind :D

I'm hoping to have it up an running before then. But doubt I'll go anyway. I gotta work some kinks out before I try anything too serious with it. Lol. Thanks tho.

Well it seems as tho the new engine is as complete as it'll ever be ngot everything lined up to drop
it in tomoro am. Hope it goes smoothly.
