77 K5 getting ready for the road

friend bought this. 77 K5 383 th400/205 3/4 ton axles 4" lift..

had to put line into a gas can to get it to run. brakes are locked. no big deal he want m1008 axles in it.

anyway we have a new battery, all new rubber. new fuel tank and lines, brake lines. rebuilt starter and alt. tune up for motor. all new fluids and filters. truck has been parked for 8 years.. started about a year ago. we ran it 2 weeks ago. seemed to run ok. bit of smoke but went away.

anything else we should cover why we are at it?? trying to get it all done in one shot thanks

dont care what most think but if it site for 8 years you will not get it all done in 1 shot.

you will find more. just be ready for it.

fluids / big fire extingusher / coolent / and few basic tools. this might get you home or off the road.

i bet seals will startto leak and other gremlins will pop up.

have a point. the rad is new. sitting but new.. for 500 he did good

yeah, put a good amount of time into. now it seems the tranny and rear axles have a leak
