77 K5 into an 84 K5

Would it be worth my time and aggravation to pull the axles dana 44/12 bolt from my 77 K5 and put them under my 84? I would have to regear and would probably redo them, but I would do that with new to me axles anyway. Thoughts? Thanks!!

Why not move up to a 14 bolt in the rear, and a Dana 60 up front? I know 60's are'nt cheap but in the long run, You would'nt have to do it later. And 14 bolt's are reasonable now. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
