Pulled out the hydroboost I scored for free last year and finally disassembled and cleaned it.

Going to get a 2wd sector shaft from Advantage west And new hoses along with a seal kit. I'm pretty stoked to have this going on. It will free up my camshaft choices without worrying about vacuum.

Also made some modifications to my beer fridge.

Adjusted my cribbing so I could remove the transfer case drop and clean up the frame more.

Also rough cut the brackets out for the control arm mounts. Man I need a plasma.

So after long deliberations and I finally convinced myself to stop being a cheap ass. Decided to take this to the next level.
I got a smoking deal on the shocks from a friend. They are 17 inch travel 2.5 9300 series, also came with the ACV in the resivoir. I am pretty excited to get this on the ground! I hope these will provide the performance I am looking for, the Saw shocks are going in the rear for now until I figure out what to do back there. I can get it close with the valving and stock springs.

I learned on Facebook that a set of Pro Comps are just as good as Bilsteins. I bet you wish you knew that before you ordered those!

Fabricating the mounting brackets, one down another to go. Getting closer.. I need an iron worker drilling holes sucks.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1433116623.696472.jpg

With a good drill press they aren't that bad. Sure punching holes is cool but unless you are running a fab shop it is completely unnecessary. I have an old craftsman 15.5" set the speed at 200 rpm use some cutting fluid and I'm through in about 2 minutes for 1/4".

Yea it's not bad it's a small drill press but it still cuts pretty fast At 765rpm with napa cutting fluid. I take my time and it's fine.

Fock yo drill press. Iron worker with punches is the best creation on this earth :D

Sweet shocks though :whistle::popcorn:

My bumper brackets were built with an iron worker. I thought it deformed the metal too much.

Martin

My press was 60 bucks! Woo harbor freight

in reality we have weekends of work building the iron worker, and it cost $500 right out the door, and then we pretty much threw out all the old parts excetp the dies and rebuilt the thing.

So $60 will definitely beat $1000 any day....

But the few times i have gotten to use it now, it does kick ass....

On another note. Those shocks kick ass. Idk if i missed it, but what did you get them for?

Thanks, I paid 800 for the shocks, they came with a btf disc brake conversion for 14 bolt and body bushings. I think it was a great deal and the guy had this! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1433134339.678449.jpg

800 is a smoking deal... Wow thats about the only good thing about living in CA is the good deals on go fast parts.

Yea I had no idea how good until I checked the price of these new.. Anyway I ordered the 1104 Pittman from summit for 62 bucks shipped: whistle: so that'll get the steering started and I can swap to the boosted box

Saw a guy with a set of the Pro Comp 9000's, who'd removed the "Pro Comp" and had them restenciled as "BINFORD 9000" :haha:

[grunt grunt grunt]

Now that's a handy use for them!

(And Martin, puhleez tell me you're old enough to remember that show...)
