83 being converted to trail rig

The tube on the floor will sleeve inside the tube bolted to the floor that way my bender is adjustable for 360.

I did this because I couldn't figure out what the best way to orientation for bending in my small shop.

It'll have jamb bolts holding g it tight

I might have to save this very first bend. It'll be my cheater bend. I forgot to mark the die where it starts bending the tube

I'm so excited about this tool.

I might build a bracket later. The swag kit is very cool but over priced since I have to weld it together.

My swell cut up some plate and do it myself.

Bent a tube to follow the contour of my 02 dodge cab. Everything turned out perfect but was about 2" to wide.

I think this is a evil trick to get me to do more math.

I remember the days in high school saying I'll never use this. Now I'm a super on construction crew crunching numbers on plans going hmmm. Now this. Lol

Followed the 101 tube bending on pirate angles perfect all around looked good just the diameter of a tube wider then the cab.

Driveline for my Dodge

I set up a runout gauge off the transmission skid plate and am having the kids turned the tire while I tacked it straight

No vibes.

No fabbing tonight frustrated with notching so did some cleaning. Look I no into more tools.
Tune shark or 50 dollar jig to mark notches.

I'm thinking jig

To much coors lite, drink better beer for inspiration.

No, you have a hell'va set up.. Im jelly!!

In your bends are you taking into account the CLR is the CENTERLINE radius.

It's measured in the middle of the tube

1 3/4 pipe master gauge is enroute.

I figured out. Why my bends ended up to wide.

I added 1" to each leg thinking I could cut the legs shorter to fit for cab height. What u didn't do was start my bends 1" past my bend starting point point. I went over numbers and finally figured out I cut the tube overall length 2" longer than actual length it needed to be. Confusing lol. Lots of math and thinking. Maybe to much thinking on my part.
Lay it out measure recheck bend don't just throw inches at it without knowing exactly where you want to add them

I've watched his vlds he's very very helpful. He's the reason I decided I don't need a notches square notches are pretty quick and easy but coming together at 4 difrent angles is kicking my but.
The contour gauge I hope cuts my time way dow

I'm interested to see this contour gauge. Is it like one of those needle things where you could put your hand or face it?
