Hey guys, I am new here. Not new to off-roading or k5s just the forum. I have a 83 k5 I have been trying to finish for years because of money issues. It now sports a 6" lift, no tires and a 14 bolt rear and a th700hd trans. I am wondering if when I do get around to driving it again if I will need to shim the rear end to help the pinion angle. I figure I will and what is about the correct angle. Thanks a ton for any help.:D

what brand springs?Do you have on the back do they already have shims ?
shims arent the best answer but they work and i havem on mine the best solution is to redo the perches but thats my 2 cents

My springs already bad them on there. But not everything is the same I guess

They are 2" tough country springs with a 4" shackle flip from ORD. I wanted a lower center of gravity but still fit 42's with triming, and Without much arch to keep the flex in the spring. There are no shims but I have a new, longer drive shaft. Since we are at it, what about the front. There are six inch springs with New front shackles from ORD to help the tires not hit. The axle is a dana 60. I don't have a new shaft yet. Thanks guys
