Cutting my trip early. Time to get Nom Nom up and running.
Everyone keeps talking about the quad headlightNo plans on that any time soon, if at all.
There's a lot of confusion on the CUCVs and 12-24v, just the starter was 24v.
99.9% of the truck is 12v, a regular K5.
They're ran in series to provide 24v to starter, and the nato slave adapter to jump other military vehicles. Each alternator is 12v, each battery is 12v. The front battery is ran to the rest of the truck for normal 12v applications.
The only ''conversion'' was since I put in a gasser, I had to buy a new starter that was 12v, otherwise the starter would turn super slow, if at all. And running a wire to the hei, and chopping up the alternator wires.
Thinking I have some carb related vacuum issues, since I get 15 in hg on the fitting on the manifold, and only 10 at the base port of the carb, that should be full manifold vacuum.

Have fun on your trip. A Quadrajet that's running good is about as good as fuel injection most of the time. I always have trouble getting the electric choke on mine to stay right for some reason though.
Are you going to do any wheeling while you're in Arkansas?
