Hello everyone im wondering where i could find a conversion for my 84' K5. I would like to convert it into a pick up but cant seem where to find the kit. I figured Edgewood might but they did not..as in convert it im talking about keeping the same body on just takeing th etop off and runnen it strait down from the top of the cab right behind the front seats.. if anyone knows where the kits are or where I could find them i would really appreciate it

Don't think anyone makes a kit for this, though I think I saw a soft top somewhere that would accomplish it. But why? Seems to be a waste of a perfectly good K5 to me. If you really want to do it though, just get a pick up cab and swap it over.

Its going to take a lot more than just a soft top to accomplish thing.
This is major body reconstruction.

Would be much easier to go the route of a pickup cab.

There used to be a place in Dunnell, MN that had a conversion kit. I think they were associated w/Glasstite toppers. They used to advertise in the back of the off road mags. Can't remember the name.

I will see what I can dig up. Tried a Yahoo search for Dunnell, MN. No luck yet.

Here 'tis:

The place is http://www.creproonline.com

$650-700 for the kit, plus another $600 or so for the tonneau if you want the bed covered.
