84'K5 TBI'd on Tons

Im not a big fan of any kind of brush gard. I'm not changing anything up there till I have a winch and need something to mount it to

As far as motor....

On Sunday after the pics 78swb posted I hydro locked the 383 driving it threw a some water to wash the mud off the undercarriage like I do every time. No inner fender wells put a stop to that real fast

Picked up a complete TBI 350, wiring, and ecu on Tuesday. Doing a quick refresh of gaskets and fluid and clean up on it, throwing a Lt1 roller cam setup in it. Hope to have it in by end of month.

If anyone had any tips about doing the wiring or anything that may be helpful, please post

The 383 is out. Tbi 350 is ready to go in aside from the rear main seal and installing flywheel and clutch once I have it In the air again. Since John failed me on some parts and Tyler is out of town. I skipped the cam swap for now. Have all seals and timing set for it. For now all i did was clean it up and re seal everything. New sensors

If the 383 is salvageable I have this great plan to make it a roller and throw it back in along with the tbi setup. We will see if that ever happens
Hopefully drop it in Tom and then the wireing and fuel work can be done this week

Yup I bought it all as a complete deal. Came with a truck tank and pump. Not 100% sure on if I can make it work or just by a blue pump

I'm gona say it now its not gona be running. I have the motor in, wires are all mocked up and plugged in, I have constant power to what needs it and ignition power to coil,ECM, fuel pump. From what I was testing I am not getting power out of ECM right now. Could be a bad ground, bad coil I don't ****ing know. I have fuel lines ran and will either will drop tank tom or buy a in line pump. Not worried about the fuel but I need to figure out why I have no power out of ECM

Information on the Internet is worthless. Been a headache full of wiring diagrams.

That's sucky buddy. Not sure if I can be of any help, but I'll have time here and there before friday if you need it. Tuesday Uggs is getting exhaust, and hopefully Friday morning I'm getting my tubes bent and burned in for the traction bar.

I don't know anything about engines really, but couldn't you just throw your carb and intake on this engine to get you through the weekend? Surely with all the hot rodders someone can get it tuned for you pretty good.

If its not running by Saturday there will be a carb, intake and block pump back on it

Got the new pump in the tank today. Fuel relays and power are set up. ECM has power along with all the sensors. Need to finish my fuel lines and see if it will come to life

I went with an oem in tank pump from a pickup, had to moddify the lines some but it worked. ran braided fuel lines from tb back to the filter and back into the steel stock lines. Hopefully my 5/16 return line will be enough

What i started with, looked like a mess but it was all pretty well organized

After a little organization, couple hours of soldering everything up

Need to fill with fluids and set timing, hopefully i got it all pieced together right :nervous:
