Thinking I'm maybe better off not tearing up the complete, straight, stock 1987 K5 I have.

If I get a straight, rust free tub, I can take my current rig that needs a body, and swap just the body.

Looking for a 1985+ that has the floor setup for the tilt/slide seats, not the tilt forward passenger only setup that changed at some point in the 1985 model year. I'd be interested in the seats too. I'd consider other parts attached if it was easier to sell that way.

If it had a VIN and title that would be a huge plus. Otherwise I would have to have the state inspect it, new state issued VIN, etc. Its fairly hard to deal with title-less vehicles here, and issuing a VIN and new title becomes arbitrary if they feel the parts in question might have ownership issues.

I've got difficulty moving one of these things at this point, and a limited window, but I'd still like to try and make it happen. I may be unable to do any parts scrounging for 3 years, and there wont be more of these being parted then, than now.

I just sold a rust free, straight, k5 body on a rolling frame with non-running drivetrain and title for $2000 recently. They are getting hard to find already. I'll let you know if I see anything. Your best bet may be to buy a compete, non-running rig and sell the extra parts to get most of your money back.

@MAXMAN did you still have a body?

Alternately, contact Jon Addington and see what he has coming up to part out.

No, doggone it! That tub went to Moses Lake. It was super clean and 100% rust free , sold with title for $600!

I have an 85 with title.
I will have to look at what you are looking for on the seats and get back to you.
I am sure we can make a deal you can live with.

Quick look on Facebook marketplace, I found several people parting out 1984s. One 1991 with rear quarter damage. Nothing quite what you were looking for.

So you want the newer style seats correct?
Can you come to CA and pick up?
I can give you the cab and seats with title for $400

That would be great!

Let me see what I can do about getting a truck and trailer down there. Wonder if it would fit on my utility trailer...shouldnt really be that long with no front end.

Last tub I got I loaded on a 8' bed and I remember the back sticking a foot or so.

I'd probably have to get some pallets or something as dunnage to clear the fenders and tool box, but its doable. Brand new axles so it's ready for a drive.

Are you in a hurry to get it out of the way? I really need to drop the transfer case and replace the input seal before I put a bunch of miles on it.

I just put it away in my box trailer so it can wait, but I might have an option for you.
Are in Roy, or not Roy?:pimp:
I might be buying a truck in Wenatchee and if I go to pick it up, I could make a detour for a few hundred bucks and deliver it.
How much is it worth it to you delivered.
I will be sending you detailed pictures of everything so you know what you would be getting.
