'85 K20 "Whitey"

I thought about swapping both motor and trans. Has a 700r4 and I wouldn't mind having overdrive. I'll put the fuel pump in and see how it runs and drives. Prob still clean the spray paint off and clean out the inside. School student stickers need to stay though. Front fenders, hood, doors are all in good shape and would be nice for my truck. Just not ready to do a full resto on it. I'll just keep messing with it and decide what to do sooner or later.

Sold my suburban as it was too complete to tear up. I did change out some little things between it and Whitey though. Swapped 4wd shifter bezels, mirrors, front bumpers, and most importantly the factory door lock knobs for the crappy ones my truck had. I only took pics of the front bumper swap though. Nothing real exciting, but some progress on this old pig.

I think they look good. Prob not great for off road, but wait and see. Planning to swap the front 6" springs for a 4" set soon.

Now that's it's cooling down outside I'll prob start spending some more time on the truck. Brake lines, u joints, exhaust, tune up, etc. The list is long on this old girl.

I'll shoot for that. What size was that tubing you used for your front drive shaft?

Honestly can't remember. Just a hair bigger than the stock shaft. I'll look around the metal pile at the shop to see if I have the piece I cut off still.

Turns out that's the 2nd weekend of rifle for deer season. I wasn't thinking. I probably won't make this trip unless I get one the first weekend.
