Ok so I bought a 1986 K5 Diesel Blazer about two weeks ago. the AC had been totaly rebuild by a shop by the previous owner in the begining of July!!

Worked great until yesterday. The system had been converted to R-134A and everything is NEW.

Whats going on is the, with the AC switched on, the compressor clutch engaged then disengages and engages the disengages every few seconds. Before sunday it worked flawlessly.

Does anyone know that causes that? I am assuming a sensor is tripped, maybe bad, or maybe there was a leak or something? :doah:

Thanks

sounds like it is low on 134....that will cause the compressor to cycle on and off like you say it is.... I would have it leak tested and then recharged.
