88-98 seat into 73-87?

I was just wondering the possibility of mounting a newer style bench seat into a 73-87??? has anyone done this??

I have a 60/40 bench out of a '93 chevy in my 85. Somebody did a botch job welding it to the floor in the truck. Seems like it sits higher than the stock bench in my 77... But with custom work you can do anything

and I would not suggest the setup I have... it sucks I can't take my seat out... looking for another option, but I do like the seat it is very comfortable

can can i use my 83 brackets or the newer style??

Alot of the seats on the newer body style use more than 4 bolts in each corner to bolt down, and the floors are shaped diffrent.

I always thought about using older brackets and welding together a frame for a new style seat.
