My buddies 1988 3/4T tbi 350 burban wont start it did this once before and he had to get it towed home from his work parking lot, Blaimed it on bad gas and what not form our recent hunting trip, and got it going after charging up the battery that was dead form repeaded retrys and gave it a new distrubitor cap and rotor, new fuel filter, and fresh oil at the same time. The burban started right up fine and was driving better than it was due to the cap and rotor probally and he drove it to work well 12 hours later he goes to drive home at 7am and it barely turns over and doesnt start. He calls me and we go look at it with a new 1000CCA battery. Swapped out the old Kirkland battery and installed the new one, now it trys way harder and got the engine spinning at about 700rpm according to the tach but still no start. Now im thinkin its fuel pump oh joy its a full tank lol :( I also checked to hear the pump when we first tryed it and didn hear anything  so i also checked for spark while he was cranking and no spark and no fuel from the injectors.
So will the ECM shut down the fuel supply if theres no spark??
Anyways just looking for any direction to look for now :(

No injection pulse with no spark.

ECM will not "prime" the system every time you turn the key, I believe it's some sort of timer the ECM has. You can bypass the relay with the wire hanging off the connector if you want, but that just forces the pump to run, which doesn't tell you anything really if there is no spark. You've also got an oil pressure switch, if you are generating 4-5PSI with the starter (a certainty unless there is no oil or the motor is no good) then the fuel pump relay doesn't matter either, assuming the oil pressure switch is good.

Likely the ignition module, AC Delco or go home. :) But don't neglect all the other parts, coil, pickup coil, etc.

If you don't have spark or fuel from the injectors it could only be a one of a few things.
The most likely are:
- Ingition module
- Pick-up coil
- Reluctor wheel or permanent magnet on distro shaft <---- happened to me.

Check the ecm b fuse as well. If it is open it will shut down pump, spark and pulse.
