very nice :D

the motor was partially tore down when you bought it right? Hopefully all the parts are there....

Yeah, there's a huge pile of parts in the back. The rods and lifters are all labeled nicely so they can go back in the right spot. I've got a big jug of bolts so that will be a puzzle. But as my cousin who's a great mechanic said, "It's just parts."

Your cousin is correct :D

Indeed. I once re assembled a Honda Motor that was in boxes in the back of the car by just making educated guesses on where all the brackets and bolts went. Same thing with a Toyota 22re motor. Both of them ran fine afterward!

I shall try to take ample pictures when reconstruction starts. Well at least as many as is possible when putting heads back on.

The 6.2/6.5 engines are pretty easy to work on. You can take about 90% of the engine apart with 10, 13, 15, 18 mm sockets/wrenches. The heads will work on either side of the block too.

If you need any engine parts during resemble letme know, I'll see what I have.

Parts are in! Now to find the time to get started.

On another note, Tires? The BFG KOs on the rig are a bit old, lots of cracks through the tread, nothing bad on the sidewall. I could probably drive them just fine for a while but would like to start looking at replacements. Its got 33's on it now and I'm thinking they will look a bit wee with the RC 4" lift. Could I fit some old Hummer 37's or should I not go bigger than 35's? I think its got 3.73 gears.

Yep, need to know your thoughts on fender trimming to answer that question.

Dont you trim that $hit mother ****er!!!!

33s will look fine :D

I would go with 35" tires.

I should have told you to look into gap less piston rings, where did you get the studs from.

Don't worry Adam, I don't plan on any trim jobs at this time. If I go with the A-Bomb then I will most likely defang the front but that's a long way out.

35" tires are what I will probably go with, its just that the wheels on it now are 16.5" and those goodyears are stupid cheap.

I bought everything from SS Diesel Supply.
