90' K5 Build "SRT Rig"

My old lady has a 2013 Wrangler Unlimited.

I can take the top off my Blazers by myself. Not that thing.

That sounds backwards to me unless u have a hoist for ur blazer, I could get my wrangler hard top off by myself with no hoist, but the hoist made it alot easier. This k5 top looks alot heavier

And yes Y5, its quite liberating having an old rig that I don't have to worry about keeping pretty

eh, you can walk the top off if you have a platform. I can take mine off alone in about 5-10 minutes. And the truck looks good that color!

I weighed a hard top with slider glass...188 lbs. I've done it myself many times without a hoist.

I have had a half dozen K5's of various vintages, and never had a hard top leak. I used to live near Vancouver BC, so they all saw a higher than average amount of rain. The topper seals work well on their own, but I do usually give em a smear of vaseline so the rubber doesn't stick and tear at the next removal.

No need to caulk it...lol

well I bought some trailblazer seats and made em fit in the K5..... pretty simple, with more time it could be done nicer but im not building a show truck. Just took some angle iron, cut the verticle pieces for the rear 3 inches, the front 2 inches, and the long piece is 22 1/2 inches. Weld it together like so.

Power leather trailblazer seats installed. I also put my old ratty carpet back in and dyed it black. Painted the lower dash black as well. That's all for this weekend
