Just take the little extra time and it will look good.
I will be glad to give any tips or answer any questions that will help.

That 5.3l looks good in there.

Por15 is a good product but be aware it will come out high gloss. Ive learned a thing or two about doing a frame in it since my 442 chassis. Dont use a paint brush, yes it will level out but the stuff will yank brush hairs out of it. If you are going to try to apply it w/o disassembley then use those arts and crafts foam brushes for kids arts projects.

Thanks! This project has been going on long enough! I am having trouble figuring out how the TCC switch hooks into everything, any insight on that would be helpful!

Sweet upgrade to a sweet truck!

thank you!

I'm way ahead of ya, its already done haha but I did use the foam brush and after it dried I scuffed it and sprayed the POR15 rubberized undercoating. It looks good! The hardest part was cleaning before painting

Hmmm . . .

Awesome man, a really nice truck. Where did you get the roof rack? What kind is it? Thx

Future plans are
-TURBOOOO
-finish all the crap i started (steering, brakes)

the ugly about the truck...

mainly paint and quality of bumper and sliders

paint is peeling and chipping all over the truck. even though it was waxed every 2 weeks :dunno: seems like a poor quality paint job.

Rear bumper failed 2 times, so i rebuilt it

sliders failed me when i needed them most. got a busted rocker to show for it

Rear bumper failure and rebuild

soo ill go over how the bumper failed and what i did to "fix" it

first failure

sent it back. they fixed it, but quality was sub par. looked like they just slapped it together

the spare tire portion fell off this time

so i cut all that crap off and started building my own bumper using a lincoln 140HD. keep in mind this is the first time i really fabricated something. and it took me forever to get thus welder dialed in! I will be Making all this again too when i make a wole new bumper!!

started by adding the 4 can jerry holder i built

I then cut off the rest of the tire carrier bracketry

started mocking up where i want the bin

I also removed the bolt that was holding the swinger in and replaced it with a pin that i drop through the hole and added this lever. now it only takes seconds to open it!

now i started building the holder for the bin

Finally on the truck

and finished up the jerrycan side

and that is that!! so far its held up much much better. that bin weighs about 45lbs with my fluids, recovery gear, and jumper cables, tools and such. it doesnt move when i try to shake it. i can see through my rear window. i have twice as many cans and its all easier to get to. im still selling this bumper because im going to build a completely new one that has 2 swingers, ones for the cans and one for the bin. it will also wrap arund the rear quarter panels

Transfercase rebuild

so i blew a u joint at the tcase while driving down the road. driveshaft bent the end of the tcase outputshaft and cracked the tail housing. SYE it is!

So i got the SYE from Tom woods installed in my T-case.

I also bought a double cardon 1350 ujoint slip shaft from tom woods. i need to adjust my pinion angle slightly and it will be right on the money

I also got the 5.3 swap done and tuned. man this thing hauls!! 0-60 is about 7.5 seconds. at WOT i come out of 2nd gear at 95 mph!! not to mention i average 19-21mpg highway and 12-14 city!!

I also took it to the rebel offroad open house and beat the majority of the jeeps on the RTI competition. scored a 977.

my front shocks are too short. I might have hit 1000 if they were set up correctly :/ next time!

a cool shot

some night wheeling. i love the LED lights!

happy GF

rear end

guess what my daily is?

Got pictures of the slider failure?
And really hoping the pickup is the daily. Please let it be. Anymore info on it?
