Well, I bought myself a 91 blazer body (no front clip) for $500 which is in way better shape than my 76 , and now I've ripped off my 76 body and ready to drop on the 91. The only difference I see is the middle body mount position and besides the wiring harness, this really shouldn't be a difficult match. Well probably the hood too.

Does anyone think that there will be any other serious complications?

The frame will not allow for the newer body without cutting slots in the frame and having it protrude through the floorboard. You will also need to use the later front clip (IIRC 80 and newer with the cowl piece)

Oh sorry, I forgot to mention that I already have a 3" body lift kit. I wish I could use the 91 frame, but it's a wreck. otherwise when I look at the 2 frames, they look identical except for that middle body mount

I don't think that 3" will be enough to clear the floor still. There is probably a 6" difference in the floor board are behind the front seats between a 76 and a 91.

shouldn't the whole 76 front clip bolt right on? the cowl piece is with the hood on the older models.
