Mine won't reset. Just to clarify, it should push in to reset?

Seems like a small thing, but I'm used to resetting on every full tank and this makes me crazy.

I think you have to turn the knob to reset it, not just push it in. I never use mine in either of my K5's though.

Push+turn.

its a workout to reset mine though. and i never do it anymore as i know what im getting(mpg) with mine.

It's official. Twist and turn. One way zeros it and the other just clocks it up.

Guess I'm going to have to take mine apart then. Won't move when I try to push it. :(

Just re-checked, can twist in either direction until your fingers bleed with no effect.

You can try putting some sideways force on it while you twist/push, they were poor designs.

I guess the small plastic gears tend to strip. I've had little luck disassembling the speedo's and fixing anything in them, I just get another used one. :)

See now, that isn't what I wanted to hear.

Aboot what I expected though. Oh well.......

I seem to remember the one in my '90 (90-91 are the DRAC trucks, right?) was like that. I just clocked mileage on the gas receipts -- easier than trying to fix the thing.
