Looking for the specs on that shifter. I have a 4l80 in my 77 and it is getting bolted to a np205. The trans and the adapter are already in the truck I just have to rebuild the tcase. I can see the shifter I have won’t work but reading a lot of other forums and stuff on here I see there are different shifters and if anyone had the measurement for the shifter that came out the 91 k30 with the 205 so I could make my own.

Sorry I can't help with measurements as I got rid of mine. But I did take this picture to show the obvious differences. "New" 205 shifter in the rear.

I wish I took better photos of the shift lever itself. But you can see how far it’s bent from straight up and down. This is bent just a little more than the th400 versions.

The part that hooks to the s-bar is at a little angle. I might have to try to find one. I don’t want twin sticks.

I don’t have a shift lever. The 91 specific is extremely valuable though. Be prepared.

That sucks. I could probably make one but need the specs. I’m not opposed to heating mine up and bending it but if I get it wrong it will probably be ruined. These parts are getting harder to come by and I would hate to just ruin a shifter.

Well if you’re open to that just get any older one and heat it and bend it. You can do this more than once to dial it in.
None of them are getting any cheaper though.

I’m gonna hold out a little and see if someone comes out with the specs. I may just go to the metal store and pick up some stuff and see what I can put together. Looking at the pics I’m not sure just bending the shifter will do it. It looks like the angle from the pivot point is at a 45* angle to the shifter as opposed to the one I have which is straight. That angle is gonna change the throw of the shift. It might be a while but if I come up with something I’ll post pics and measurements.

Deleted my "...?..." post as I actually learned something.

Love this site. I become less stoopid everyday!
Lol

Stumbled across this looking for info

I’ve got a ‘91 205 shifter lying around. I’ll try to hook you up with some specs tomorrow.
