so i inherited a 94 jimmy with a spun crank main/rod bearing. i am now almost done with rebuilding it after all the machining/boring/decking/prep and just need to put the heads/manifolds on. any idea for the best priced spider injectors for it? most ive seen are over 200$ or can i just clean my current one out and be fine. also if anyone has some good pics of their 4.3 from the front accessories and the wire routing that would help alot. thanks

was able to clean/test the injector at work and it is fine. still could use some pics of a complete engine installed to help with wire routing if anyone has some.

so, finally got the engine painted, and all the accessories brackets. ordered some headers, and should have engine together and ready to drop in tomm. just wish there was more interest in these rigs, i kinda like em. with more interest id definately put some pics up

Cool, I know what you mean. I would like to do more with the one I have but I need to get more stuff done to the blazer. I'll try and get you some pics to day, been trying to figure out how to get pics transferred from my new phone.

Whats your email so I can send you pics. Having Iphone and pc issues at the moment.

yes you do have the same engine, i mainly need pics of the front accessory drive brackets as my book doesnt show them. bolts/mounting spots etc. thanks

so i finally got the accessory brackets and exhaust manifolds on so now just the engine mounts and i can drop it in hopefully this weekend and really get to do some updates on the truck!

just a short update: since no one really has shown much interest. engine is in and everything hooked up minus the intake plenum and distributor, their goin in tommorrow as i hopefully get it running so i can get the tires / fluids / u-joints all replaced shortly after. wish me luck

ill post some pics later today, i did get it running and tuned, now need to take it to schwabs to get my tires on and then change out the rest of the fluids and wash/clean inside out on it so i can daily drive it to work! i will finally post pics after i get that done and my kid gets back from preschool

my new daily driver is back together and running!

so ive gotten almost 1k miles on my engine after rebuild and im having a small issue still.if i let it sit for over 30 mins or so it has to crank like 10 secs before it fires and runs. if i have run it in the last 30 mins then it fires right up. brand new battery/plugs/wires/dist etc from the complete engine rebuild. am going to change the fuel filter. and check timing / vaccume lines tonight. anyone else had a problem like this?

Never had that issue on my truck. Check fuel pressure when you do filter, see how that looks.

plan on it, think it might be clogged and impeding the press untill it gets rotating some. gotta find the gague for the test port though

doing a compression test and maybe pullin the valve covers off. i am mysteriously losing coolant but none is coming outside of the engine... and if its a cracked head then the machine shop is buying me a new crate engine for all their mess ups.

found my coolant leak and got it fixed, luckily wasn't a cracked head. But on a sour note my engine is now knocking hard in the bottom and sounds like the main crank bearing that the shop that screwed up and fixed, didnt seem to fix it. so its goin back to the shop tommorrow. not very happy to say the least

Man that sucks! Sorry to hear that, is the shop going to pull the engine? Or are you going to have to do it again?

just got off the phone with em. they say that if its knockin and its the part they screwed up they will fix it. but its actin wierd. it shakes violently at idle...no power,... takes forever to start... and seems it blew out my new muffler. so they said that it has nothin to do with the engine internals and thats all on me. of course their behind on work and asked if i could pull the engine myself to save them some time. im about to just head to court on them
