Just thinking out loud here, but if you were stuck with mounting the calipers like that, couldn't you pull them off and bleed them clamped on a spare rotor or something where you could turn the bleeders to the top, then just reinstall them?

Of course that would also require flexible brake lines. Just wondering how you'd solve the problem...

Theory should work, or install it in the front upside down

Seem to recall reading about people using a 2x4 or the like cut down to size, so yeah, it's possible, but would suck.

So, a little progress today. I would have been out there all weekend, but I visited the “I’m Drunk” thread with Ryoken and Brian on Friday, which slowed me down some on Saturday. :doah: :haha:

Anyways, it’s pretty such more of the same, but welded all up, painted and how it’s going to look when finished up. It looks like a need to order some shorter u-bolts. I tightened them all up, but I don’t really know if it’s bottoming out, or tight?

Looks like next time I’m out there I’ll be working on getting the exhaust back in and start working on the gas tank mount. The pass side exhaust might be in trouble with the new wrap bar, but even if I can get it pretty close, I’ll drive it down to my buds muffler shop and have him make it all pretty and stuff again when she’s all done. :pimp:

I’m highly disappointed at the Absence of the blue sharpie and lack of cookies.

Everything else looks great though. Carry on.

Ha, Bent said the same thing this weekend. It was kinda fun grabbing new parts from the cabinet that have been sitting there for over 5 years, though. :)

Thinking about going this way with the shock boots. Metal roofing pipe jacks.

Someone here used Vent boots on a K5 for the rear shocks, can’t remember now who it was though!
