There's some underlying hint of MPS...

I wish. The wife is throwing a big B-day party for one of the 1 yr old grand kids. That starts at three, I'm hoping that I get till noon, then I'm betting the list of pre-party honey-do's gets the better of my garage time. Although, I'm pretty sure once the party starts several adult males will be congregating in the garage surrounding the beer fridge escaping a 1yr old's b-day party. lol

Did you just discount every Sunday for the rest of the year?

Might have to switch my office pool money

Oh hellz no. We'll do another one soon......but only if you're around to be the co-judge again. That was a lot of fun this last time.

We're both easily amused and abused

Joking aside, been watching this build a long time. Hopefully you get some favorable tail wind on this project

Enjoy the family day :waytogo:

Thank you, Sir. I hope I can stay on it awhile this time. Summer is gone and their isn't a lot of building I can do in the rain most of the time. Good and bad...

When I moved here I stopped by the inspection place and asked the inspector guy about any potential problem I may have getting registered.

I got lucky. They were cool about it and answered questions. We actually talked about places to go wheelin that may or may not have been legal to go.

It may be worth it to give an anonymous call or swing by the station and Chat about it.

Probably Paul. After thinking about it I'll wait till I'm a little closer, I'd hate to out myself like some jackass. lol

A little PPP........

For use not in the know, that's a super fast Pre Party Post. As my wife is giving me an evil grin as I stayed up in the garage a little too long. :D :haha:

On with the pics.

Earlier this week I found out that there is a small problem with my past work. Not enough room between the bar I installed on the bumper and lower 1/4.

So I cut those out and went in one bar. I think that I'll still need to do a couple of spreader bars on this? Don't know if it will twist or not with the weight of everything.

Welded in the frame mounts and took off the angle iron that was a place setter.

Needed to clean up the ends. They sat a little too close to the body and I wanted them to follow the bottom 1/4.

Starting of the spindle notch.

At that time it was apparently clear, I wanted to be first against Greg at something, so I started installing some badass OEM trim. :pimp: I needed to know how far out everything was going to stick out as there was some serious limited space I was working with.

And then....

Some pre-heating.

Sorry some of the pics are upside down and stuff. Just not enough time to fix 'em, today.

And just because my little Grand baby rocks. She gets a spot in my thread with my non-shavin' ass this week.

Oh wow it must be cold!

Long pants and no flip flops!?

Rear end looks good Man! :pimp:
Nice work Mike!

Lol, I was all serious and chit this weekend for some reason. I did wear flip flops at the b-day party though.
:waytogo:
Seriously clean work!

Love the spindle sticking out from the stock bumper!

Thanks Brother. Still a lot of work to do, but it's coming along. I wish I wasn't so rusty on the welding though.

Ditto
Nicely done cookie monster

Thanks Dave. No cookies now. But, I'm getting sugar drunk with cupcakes and cake this evening. :saweet: :D

1/2 Hr a day that's all we ask. As far as the DMV go to your branch and plead a sob story to the teller about not knowing about Non op and ask if there's anything they can do(Because they can and do lower fines/late fees, if there are NO parking tickets or signs of use on the road, otherwise your paying all back charges) then pay it and put it in to non op so the fines will stop accruing. You will not need insurance to do this.

P.S. Yes I'm still lurking around waiting patiently trying not to destroy The "Anti Prius" before we all can hook up

Thanks Chris. Yeah, I'll prolly bite the bullet here soon and take care of that, but not until I buy some other stuff for the rig to get me to that next phase.

I would love to beat on this thing with a bunch of the guys. Along with that, I want to go ripping through the dunes in your 69. She is a dune beast.

Aww man I can't believe that turned out so clean, nice job. Never seen anyone hide the spindle like that.

Thanks Brother. Appreciate the kind words.

Where did you get your spindle from for the spare tire mount?

Man, I looked forever online for a beefy, but small spindle. Never did find one. One day I was bopping around town and stopped in one of the fab shops. Wouldn't ya know, he made the perfect mount for me. Awesome.

Looking good Mike. Good to see progress.

Thanks Ash. It will be a huge jump forward once I at least get this curvy rear end done. Then it's all about welding up the cage and blowing it apart again. Good times. :)

So, does that mean you are all done with fab? Just finish welding, then blow it apart for paint? That would be awesome!
