Is there any place common that I should be able to drive to and buy them? What about ordering online? I have no idea what they cost either. Just looking for small ones to mount with a 5/16 or 3/8 bolt.

Farms stores

I've seen them at tractor supply stores and farm supply stores in my area.. Also some places that sell bearings have them too..

Not sure if you're after something like the Rubicon express joints or what or how many you need but if you need like 10 or have friends that need some most internet dealers will give you a pretty good price break on 10 or more

Thanks guys, don't know where any of those kinds of stores are around here, so it looks like I'll have to go with McMaster.

Yeah, they're pretty handy little joints. I'm getting ready to twin stick a 205, figured they'd be good for that.

ooh I get what they are now! Neat!
I hope you have a camera, I want to see you make a twin stick! Sounds interesting :)

I know this is a newbie type question and I should probably search, but have a link to an article about twin sticking a 205? ;)

McMaster seems to have any size you would need. I may have just accidentally ordered a lot more than I needed too, more info on that later. If I end up with too many, and it's a size you can use, I'll let you know.

And yes, I have a very nice one. I also consider myself a better photographer than whoever did those articles, we'll see.

Hmm, how many posts can I do in a row? Too much to talk about at once!

try here...

You can get heim joints or "throttle rod ball and socket" joints at W.W. Grainger,I've seen them in Tractor Supply, and other farm supply stores(Agway?) too--the smaller sizes or usually in one of those drawer setups like Home Depot sells nuts and bolts and all the other misc.stuff in( I saw small sizes there too)...any good parts store like NAPA should be able to order some in Dorman brand also...not too diffucult to find here, and practically nobody even wants them! (hardly ANY tractors or farms left around here!--I'd think in Illinois there would be a lot more demand for stuff like this than here! :screwy:)

little heims are by no means rare. Any good race shop will have them, mcmaster carr. Thats all I have off the top of my head, but I could easily get some if I wanted them. They are very common on race car throttle linkages. A lot better than a cable, too bad we have to much flex or we could use them.
