Accessories for a 72 Blazer

Very nice 1st Gen. Me likey. Just enjoy it the way it is for now. Look at a bunch of different rigs over time and then slowly modify. BTW, I'd pay $12 grand all day long for that thing. Good job bro.

very very nice rig. I wish i only had the little nagging thing to fix you are talking about. Anyway, i thought i needed flares too. I bought a set and did the passenger side. They were hidious. I only did one side before i took them off. but in doing it i cut my side molding and still haven't replaced it. Dont do it........it ruins the entire first gen look.

Here's a shot of those hunks of plastic.

Our trucks are all ready wide enough without flares! How big of a tire do you plan to run that you would need em to protect your paint?

I seem to like it. It don't look bad at all. But to each his own I guess.

i did have 18" wide mickeys on there, so they weren't rediculous as i said, but you put anything under that in width and they look really silly......now my buddys rig looks pretty good but these are like 20" wide.

I am not going to put bigger tires on than I have 35x15x12 and I've been convinced by the wise forum members here that I don't need flares. Just going to do big mudflaps and see how I make out.

I like how the K5's with flares look, but they are running really big tires. Must have to be an acrobat to get into those rigs :o

I'm running stock axles and gearing -- do you think I'll have trouble with the big tires I have if I offroad it?

actaully no acrobatics........if you look at my buddies nerf bars, those are hydraulic lifts. he stands on it and it takes him in. Unfortunatley its pretty slo. :D

35's are to much for a 1/2 ton axle if you really wheel it.
Gears are a whole 'nother story.

What lift are you running?
Rule of thumb is 4" w/33's and 6" w/35's.

If anyone is looking at selling a pushbar that fits and is in nice shape, or has a rear tire mounting kit, I'd be interested in them.

G

I have a push bar custom fit to the stock front bumper that I'd be willing to sell. Problem - shipping.

I cannot find a picture on my work computer, i'll look tonight when I get home.
