I can see the advantage. More and more people want integration from one electronic device to the next.

Hell, my shop phone, via blue tooth, will answer my cell phone calls and reroute to my ear piece. Granted its only a phone call so audio quality isn't that big of a deal.

Less cords to plug in is a good thing. I may be looking to do some of this stuff on my new build. I'd like to have a built in charging dock in the console. Not only for charging but keeping the phone from sliding down to the floor. With it charging, I'd still be able to have some quality audio with this system.

I can totally understand wanting less wire but that mod still connects to your head unit via a cable. You might as well get a phone cradle and a few zip ties to wrap the extra wire up

But doesn't that piece stay in the vehicle? Wire it in behind the dash.
