While reading a post on Pirate4x4 about the 6.2 somebody mentioned you need to adjust the pump pressure periodically. At first I thought he was talking about the normal fuel rate adjustment, but this is obviously different. I've never heard of this before. Thoughs, comments?

step 3:
If the engine still feels slow you can adjust the pumppressure. This is a little bit of work though, you'll need to remove everything above the cylinder heads. So remove the airfilterholder and intake manifold. Put something over the channels so that it does'nt fall any **** into the cylinders. I just put papertowells into mine. Then the tricky part: you need to remove incomeing fuelline witch is the center line in the back of the pump. To do this you'll need to remove 2-3 injectorlines and bend them slightly away, but be careful that they don't crack! When you have the incomeing fuelline removed, use a mirror and look into the hole. Inside you'll see a 5/32" allanscrewhead, this is the screw that adjusts the pumppressure. This screw should be tighten 3/4 turn/every 62000miles, in your case that would mean just a little over 1½ turn. But I would'nt go over 1½ turn because if you tighten this to mutch you'll blow the gaskets and o-rings in the pump. After you've adjusted the screw, assemble everything back togeather with new intake manifold gaskets and torque the manifold bolts to 35 ft. lbs.
If this does'nt help you can also adjust the adjustment screw for the amount of fuel to the engine inside the pump located behind the 3edged hatch located at driverside of the pump. This is a ****job to do, and you'll need small hands to do it
If the other steps don't help, I can explain this adjustment further.

Even the one this one injector pump guy I used to go to never mentioned it. That's not to say its not true, I just never heard of it.
