so ive got hydro assist on my 60 front the cheap way with a red tractor ram. the steering stops dont actually touch the Cs when the pump starts squealing. the belt is slipping on the slow pulley when it squeals. it turns very well just kinda slow too.

in either direction its equal distance, but i cant get the stops to touch. should they touch the Cs?

why is the pulley stopping?

vauge all over the place questions, i guess i just dont full understand this yet for some reason.
let me know if you need more specifics, ill do my best.

Tighten that belt or replace it. get longer bolts for the stops, that way you can't over extend the ram nor anything else...

Is the throw of your ram equal to your best possible steering degree? Hopefully your ram and your steering max out at the same point but to me it sounds like your ram length is ending prematurely, assuming you are not already at fully locked steering. If that is the case longer bolts, or just adjusting the nuts on them will work like boondock5 said. I also run a D60 with hydro. What are your ram specs?

well this is what i got. mostly stuff from ORD but its a surplus ram. that one picture of the stops is at the squeal of the pump, as far as it goes basically.
