adjusting valve lash... - this one works

I'd personally like to know how you adjust your valves with the engine running if it's at 2500 RPM breaking in a flat tappet cam for the first time in a new engine.

If it was a hydraulic roller or something and you just started it up and let it idle, I can see how you'd do that...but not on a new flat tappet cam that needs to be broken in.

When the lifters are new I adjust them while putting the motor together. They are two ways to do it, if the lifters are pumped up then you do it like it was said earlier by solo, or if they are not pumped up, there is a mark in the lifter that you can set them to, and you dont even have to turn over the motor.
