A person I work with has a 1969 swb c10. It has a rebuilt tranny and 350 engine and all the parts, either new or fixed but is all disassembled.

It’s real short bed as well, no rust and straight frame.

I told her to get me some pics and I’ll take a look and possibly make her an offer.

Here are the pics and based on them what would be a fair offer? I was thinking $2000- 3000.

It’s a project for sure.

Basket case, I’d ask why she wants for it before offering up the $3k, which I don’t think I’d go that high

clean title?

I will ask, I just wanted to get an idea here. $3000 is high there are running long beds for $3000 but I really have no idea what to counter with if she has a price in mind.

It definitely will need a lot of work and work in areas I have no experience with.... like electrical.

Title is clean it’s her dads truck he had another 70c10 that is running that he won’t sell, that one has bent frame or something

I sold a bare roller with some extra body panels for $2k 4 years ago. Clear title was the big draw. Did not have any interior or glass. Needed body work finished. It was what I considered a rough project. No trim, grill, headlight buckets or tailgate.

Fuel tank.
Was that a conversion?

I have zero faith in an engine or trans I didn't build myself, but if the underside of the body looks that good it's probably worth $2000 pretty easy.

I would need to see the front clip and all the miscellaneous missing parts before putting a number on it. No doubt it could be a great builder being a straight factory shortbed with very little rust.

The truck was together and running well. But her dad wanted to do a full restoration but, his age has set in after taking it apart. The bed gas tank cuts allegedly were done to one day race it. I guess. So they cut the holes in the bed to run saddle tanks but never did it, so she tells me.

Meaning, I'm not sure if those are factory, but that's very common on trucks of that era
I thought the 3/4 ton long beds had the saddle tank cut outs? Either way this one was modified to run saddle tanks to race it and have more fuel I guess.
I think $2000 is a reasonable offer.

She told me she wants to me get a deal on it and isnt looking for much. She honestly had no idea what to even ask for it.

I think $2000 would be fair for both of us..

It does have a new front passenger fender and hood. The old ones were lost or something. I know those aftermarket parts can be hit or miss on how they fit.

ASSuming the entire front end is complete and included (headlight bezels, grill, valances etc), then one thing you have going for you is that it is clean, complete (although dissembled) and NO RUST! It is rare to see this kind of thing in this kind of condition here on the east coast(which is presently cold, miserable, wet, and depressing.....)

(Note: when i say "clean," i mean no rust)
So, yeah, i would say $2000 and under.

It has all you listed just taken apart. All the nuts bolts etc are bagged and tagged as well.
New trim etc

What wou do with it? Build, keep, filp?

I want a project for me and my sons, ultimately to restore it enough to drive, not a complete frame off. Just start from where it is and go forward.
I’d like to keep it and have a fun go fast c10...

I have seen lots of long bed trucks with the add-on saddle tanks. Too bad they cut those holes, but it isn't terrible to fix, I did it on my Dad's '69.
A factory A/C cab is a plus to go with the lack of rust.
I have seen things getting to where some would pay $4K for that truck. Prices keep climbing. The tailgate looks pretty good, but maybe it's worse in person. I saw an NOS one sell for $1000 two years ago, the aftermarket ones are terrible. There's probably over $2000 in parts there. Patching speaker holes in the doors is still better than reproduction doors.
I think that if you get it for less than $3K you are in great shape. Put it together and enjoy it!
