I'm finding that the Alcoa's I got need a special captured washer/lugnut setup for proper mounting:

these little bastards are like $7 each...

That's the reason I still haven't put my Alcoa's on my dually. I found a set on evilbay for $100? that I was going to order. I'll see if I can find a link.

yeah holy fock, this aluminum rim deal is getting cwazy expensive.
I would appreciate the link Chris!

these turned out to be Weld racing wheels, I can't even find any info on them?

Yes...like $7 each, I'm thinking the Welds need the same type?

Hey Zimm, if that is what you need, I have those here I'll get you a pic.
I also found two covers you might want.
Just pay shipping and they are yours, don't buy anything till you see this.

Sorry I thought I posted this last night, guess not. CLICKY these are the ones I was looking at, I just need to get the metric one for mine. It looks like they were more $ than I thought. Still better than $7 a piece and no chrome plastic cap needed.

EDIT: found them CLICKY these are 4 - $14.99 , so $120.00 for 32. these are the factory Alcoa style.

I sure hope imiceman's work for you.

I don't know if the Alcoa style works for the Weld.
Mine I believe came with the wheels but didn't notice then until he mentionned them now.
So I know they will work, was going to take a pic and got distracted by something with color red. Pics of both tomorrow.
:doah:

thanks Chris..
and Iceman, distractions quite often lead me from my intended task at hand....an hour later I remember what I was supposed to be doing...:dunno:

Trying to get the pics off my phone to the PC and having trouble, but I have the washer thingy for you and I have some lug nuts if you don't have them, just regular acorn style long nuts chrome.
Pay shipping to get the washers and the 2 caps shipped to you or make it $50 and you'll have the lug nuts too total shipped.
I will get the pics up as soon as I figure out a way to bypass this bull****, had to dwongrade to my old computer which can't comunicate with this stupid phone so I emailed them to myself and should have them up soon.
:doah:

And my distraction was a different type, pics to show what kind. :(

Those are definitely Welds. I have those exact same things for my 16.5 x 12's on Swampers.

so how do those work...large flat portion against the wheel, then the acorn nut; or the small step into the wheel and the acorn on top of that?:dunno:

opiton 2 :thumb:
Yeah the small portion fits inside the hole and the large area pushes against the wheels and the other side is tapered to fit the acorn style nut.
So if you have nuts already all you need is the washers thingies.

What he said.... ^^^^^

I've found that using these washer-thingies is sort of a pain because by the time you add the thickness of the aluminum center and the washer, you're running out of threads on the lug studs so check that before you go for a drive. You need ample threads showing so plan on checking the studs and replacing them if necessary.

cool, send the washers and the caps...PM me with paypal?

I've been thinking about that too. I measured 3" between the wheel beads when they are mounted, I don't think my tires will fit without a spacer...goodyear 265/75 duratracs...9" treadwidth and 10.5 section width unmounted.
