Not sure which body alternator I have but it came off a GMT400 ~'90 V6. Had one wire going to the plug. Runs serpentine belt. Is there a plug and play alternative to this alt, something with a little more umph. I swapped my S10 Cs130 for a Cs144 and it was a direct swap, no adapters or anything needed. That was a different plus design though.

EDIT: I am leaving for BB Tuesday, so it has to be something I can find at the parts store.

need to see the mounts/bolt holes..if that's the big alternator then there's a 140 amp from a 91-96 pontiac APV that will drop right in...runs like $180 tho...if its the small alternator (which it looks like) then your pretty much stuck with a 105 amp for over the counter stuff. which is what I just ended up having to do. my serpentine setup is off a v-6, but my brackets are older than yours..you might have a better chance of the police car/taxi alternator options

I just measured, grabbed food, and now I've forgotten. I think the two mount holes are 5 3/8 on center apart. If that helps

I can't find my spare but the alt for a 2000 v6 s10 "looked" right for bolt spread, would still require some minor adaptation for bolt length, don't know if the plug was right, bolt spread compared to my 90 serp belt brackets.

Ok found it, plug is different but it is single wire, bolt spread is 5 and 5/16-3/8 inches.

Looks like the same alt. Left side mount is tiny. Right side mount is about ~2" wide, maybe.

Not the same. Both mount are equal thickness and not threaded. This one is 140 amp

:( left side is threaded, I think right side in just a hole. Dammit all.

thats how mine is...you can get a bigger amp alt that will fit from summit/jeggs/speedway...but they are spendy and prob not doable by tuesday

@K85 Octane you have a CS130 now, so do you remember how you found the CS144? Isn't that what that Pontiac one is?

Pontiac is CS144 140 amp if you go transport with rear AC.

I swapped a cs144 in mine in place of the cs130. The angle of the mounting feet was the same but since the 144 was larger in diameter the feet were too far apart at the bracket and it involved elongating a hole and adding a nut, as well as a support bracket. Wasn't too hard.

I just realized you are probably on your way to BB and you already figured it out or left it alone. Have fun!

In St. George right now.
I tried to pick up an AD244 140amp I think its called. I can wire up one of those to work, figured what the hell and try. Ended up getting an AD44 160amp on accident, which only has 2 wires instead of 4 in the plug. Makes it harder and maybe impossible since its ECM controlled. For now it's running in default mode (or whatever its called) which puts out 13.5v. Not sure how many amps I get while in default mode.

Here's the thing though. With everything running (dual cooling fans, trans cooler fan, pod lights, dome lights, lows and highs, running lights, and CB Radio) the voltage drops to 13.2v. I've got no problem loosing .3v at idle. I might just run it as is. Its a big sucker but went right in.

Gotta look into a magarita machine...
